Eighteen Sound, from its creation, had clearly in mind that in order to create innovating, state-of-the-art breaking-through products, R&D has to be the mainframe for all past, present and future activities. For achieving this breathe-taking mission we invest a lot in people, equipment and most of all, a new vision of developing the last but not least unit of the pro audio chain: the transducer.

The R&D and Engineering Team offer extensive and dedicated experience in professional transducers’ creation. Our continuous effort in expanding today’s physics and technological limits has been reflected in the release of a number of worldwide patents.

Thanks to its exclusive technologies Eighteen Sound loudspeakers are substantially different from any other pro audio transducers available on the market today, as industry standard components.

Technologies and Research for us are not enough: we apply also a severe Quality Control.
All the raw materials are subjected to an acceptance procedure, based on specific VISION 2000 directives: is the first stage of the control procedure that encompasses the entire industrial production process.
Every production batch validation is based on a sophisticated proprietary designed system called ALTS – Advanced Loudspeaker Test System. This technological marvel, in combination with ultra high power amplifiers, stresses 1% of batch units for 2 hours at full power, monitoring in real-time every speaker’s parameters.

Only if these severe tests gives the green light, will the units be moved into the logistics area.
